Opened in 1999, the Luxembourg-Merl clinic is the most complete in the group: orthodontics, endodontics and the Cabinet d’Imagerie Dentaire all share the same address. A patient who needs a Cone Beam scan before root canal treatment therefore does not have to travel a second time.
The clinic is on boulevard Pierre Dupong, opposite the Geesseknäppchen school campus — a location chosen for its proximity to the secondary schools, as teenage orthodontics accounts for a large share of the site’s work.
It is also home to the Cabinet d’Imagerie Dentaire (CID), which carries out Cone Beam 3D scans, panoramic X-rays and lateral cephalograms by referral only, for the whole group and for referring dentists across Luxembourg.
A word from the clinic lead
« At Merl we bring orthodontics, endodontics and imaging together under one roof: that allows us to reach a complete diagnosis and to set out a clear treatment plan from the very first consultation. The whole team works towards the same goal — that you leave reassured and informed. »
The Cone Beam (CBCT), the panoramic X-ray and the lateral cephalogram involve radiation. They are carried out by referral only, from a dentist or a doctor, who defines the area to be examined.
End of this route
This examination can only be carried out by referral.
Speak to your regular dentist or your doctor: they decide whether an imaging examination is needed, which one, and on which area. They will then give you a referral.
